The hotel is on a hill overlooking the main bay. The view from the room was delightful, and the room itself was more than spacious. The room was clean, and well maintained. The hotel grounds and pool are also up to a high standard. The staff is friendly. The margarita at the bar was tasty, and the beer was ice-cold. Price for the drinks was very reasonable. A five minute walk and some stairs lead to a nice bay and swimming beach. We enjoyed our time there, and will come back.
We are just finishing a 3 week stay at Hotel Barlovento and have loved our stay here. Our room was perfect for what we needed and its an ideal location, everything is an easy walk away. What made a huge difference is the team here. Friendly, kind and welcoming. They are clearly professional and look after their property excellently. Would recommend and very much return here in the future.
Fantastic hotel with great amenities. The staff were very helpful and the pool had the sun all day and was clean. The grounds of the hotel was beautiful and quiet and lots of beautiful birds. Our room had a sea view and it was breathtaking - rooms had a working TV, plugs in convenient places and a fridge. AC was also lovely and cold. The location is a short walk to a beach and supermarket. Would 100% recommend this hotel if you are staying in Puerto Escondido.
